Welcome

Parkfield is home to Groom's Cottage and The Coach House. In the same large barn conversion these are two individual, self-catering cottages located in a beautiful, recently converted building which was originally the carriage house and haylofts for Parkfield house. Set in an idyllic rural location in the countryside above the gloriously picturesque village of Ashford-in-the-Water, the cottages are ideally situated to make the very best of all the Peak District National Park has to offer.

Ashford-In-The-Water is a quintessential English village with a well-stocked and friendly village shop and 3 pubs! Five minutes drive away is the famous market town of Bakewell which offers a variety of shops, restaurants, pubs and a weekly farmers market. The area is also well known for its stately homes; Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall are just over ten minutes away and host numerous events throughout the year. For the energetic visitor, the Peak District is a magnet for walkers, cyclists, climbers and cavers who love to make the most of both the drama of the moors and the peace of the valleys. There are many good local pubs to rest tired feet and several of these are within an easy walk of Parkfield.

Both cottages are newly furnished with a mix of antique and contemporary furniture, super-comfortable beds, modern bathrooms, cosy log-burners and free WiFi. Their upsidedown configuration makes the very most of breath-taking countryside views. Each cottage has it's own parking area and garden from which there is direct access across the owners' fields to a public footpath which leads either downhill to the vibrant little village or uphill to the drama of the Monsal Head gorge and the Monsal Trail.

There is the option for The Coach House to be booked together with Groom's Cottage to accommodate up to 6 guests.
