"Groom's cottage overlooks beautiful countryside set amongst a stunning wild flower garden. Our stay was in June and the cottage looked so dreamy amongst the hazy flowers. Inside, the property was spotless and beautifully appointed. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We were very sad to leave. Location wise, it was perfectly situated to explore the Peak District. Some places we visited were Ilam and Dovedale, Haddon Hall, Chatsworth, Castleton and the Caverns, Mam Tor and Monsal Dale. It was a lovely few days away and it was made particularly special by the beautiful accomodation, watching the wildlife from the upstairs windows - we saw hares, owls, pheasants and cows - a very peaceful place and the complimentary wine and Jam was a lovely touch. "We cannot recommend this cottage high enough for a wonderful escape for a couple. The decoration, furnishings and thoughtful touches are of an extremely high standard. The bed enormous and bedding luxurious. The location is superb with walks from the front door. Views from the windows idyllic and the landscaping around the main house and cottages is inspirational" Lorraine.

"Staying at the Coach House was truly wonderful! Caroline and James are incredibly lovely hosts, giving extensive local insight of the area. The house itself is incredibly clean and has all you need to feel right at home. With stunning views onto the surrounding farms, you truly feel you are one of the locals. The location is perfect for anyone looking for an escape to the Peak District. With Chatsworth, Haddon Hall and Bakewell only a small drive away. As well as plenty of lovely walks literally on the doorstep. Being able to walk to Monsal Head from the house was definitely a highlight. I would definitely recommend staying with them!" Nicola.

"We have just stayed at the fabulous Coach House. In terms of comfort, style and cleanliness we could not have asked for more and the views across the fields are wonderful. A great location in a beautiful county and we will definitely love to visit again." Sally.

"Great base to explore the eastern Peak District with lots of things to do in the immediate area such as Chatsworth, Derwent dam and walks from the door to monsal head or Ashford in the Water. Easy parking on site and sense of space around the property made for relaxed short break." Brandon.

"The Groom’s Cottage was absolute perfection! Extremely clean, new remodel, and the cottage had everything we needed for our little countryside adventure. Felt like a hotel-level stay with the comfort and privacy of home. The surrounding area is so serene, and we loved exploring the close pubs, driving to explore the Peak District, and walking the public footpaths around the cottage. Not even one thing we would change- except maybe extending our stay :)" Tory.

"The Coach House is a lovely home in the heart of the Peak District: the location is perfect to explore the area and this charming countryside house is exactly what you need to rest and chill after a day spent outdoor. "Groom's Cottage is situated in a great location in Ashford in The Water, which is a very beautiful little village with everything you need for a great visit to The Peaks, with loads of local attractions to keep you entertained. The Cottage itself is perfect for getting away from it all, and has lots of little touches to make you feel special and make your visit that something extra. Really clean accommodation, with lots of local info and recommendations on offer from Caroline to help you on your way. We would definitely recommend to anyone!" Simon.

"Groom's Cottage is amazing - it has everything. Location: 10 minute's walk from Monsall Head, surrounded by The Peak District, sunny garden in which to sit, lots of wildlife - including nightly visits from a Tawny Owl. The property: full of thoughtful details, spotlessly clean, comfortable, peaceful, with a complementary bottle of wine and even a small jar of home-made jam. We'll happily stay here again and are recommending this property to all our friends." Alan.

"A fantastic, stylish, comfortable house in a great setting. Ashford is a beautiful village, 20 mins walk from the house across lovely countryside- with 3 pubs in easy walking distance. The house itself is ‘upside down’ with a fantastic open plan upstairs living area with wood burner and well appointed kitchen. A sociable and comfortable place to spend time. Really recommend it." "This cottage lives up to the online publicity! It really is a picturesque cottage with fabulous views out over the fields which you can enjoy while sitting on the sofa thanks to low velux windows. It has been modernized very well, with great showers in the bathrooms, plentiful hot water and a responsive central heating system for the colder evenings. The kitchen includes a dishwasher and washing machine, and is well equipped for cooking a meal. The location is fabulous, with easy access to the footpath network and several delightful villages in easy reach. Communication with Caroline was quick and clear, and she was very helpful. She left us a lovely welcome gift of a bottle of red wine and homemade jam, as well as an excellent selection of maps and books about the area. Very carefully prepared and thought through holiday home. We will be back!" Alison.

"We had the most amazing stay at the cottage. The building was beautifully done out and was a great space for socialising after a long day walking, climbing or running. The views were stunning and the overall location was really great. It was easy to find with plenty of parking and a super easy check in. Recommend this place highly!" Jason.
